A Messsage from Bethany Lanza
I’m an actor who works on stage, on camera, and behind the mic.
I started acting later in life. I began voice acting in 2022 and took acting classes in 2024 to sharpen my voice work and fell in love with the whole craft. That led me to the stage. I made my theatrical debut as Magda Svenson, in Ayn Rand’s The Night of January 16th with Ruth Stage at the Jersey Shore Arts Center. October 2026, I reprised the roll in my off-Broadway debut in the show at Theater Row.
On camera, I’ve worked in film, Her Longest Way Back Home (vertical/supporting), television and commercial, ION Bank Commercial (lead), short film credits]. Behind the mic, I voice commercials, corporate and eLearning, audiobooks, documentary, and medical narration.
Whatever the medium, the job is to tell the truth of the story and connect with whoever is watching or listening. I’m drawn to characters with layers, whether that’s a soccer mom, a physician, a CEO, a seductress, a cool auntie, or a villain. I bring honesty, warmth, and humor to each one.
I never stop training. I study at Theo Devaney Acting Studio in Maplewood, NJ. I’ve trained in improv with Vegas Improv Power, whose instructors trained at UCB and The Second City. For voice, I’ve studied with Melissa Moats, Debbie Irwin, Roger Leopardi, Thom Pinto, and Hugh P. Klitzke.
Offstage, I’m a writer, a collage artist with CollagerieArts, a leaf-peeper, a rabid sports fan (Go Knights!), and an animal lover. I was born and raised in Las Vegas. Yes, people actually grow up there, and my records are sealed so I can’t talk about it… (wink) I now live in the New York metro area.
